A primary goal of Huntington County Community Network has always been helping
Huntington County, Indiana not-for-profit organizations develop a presence on
the World Wide Web. Toward that end, we offer free web space to qualified
not-for-profit organizations. The volunteers who serve on our board of directors
do not, however, have time to create web pages for every organization that needs
such assistance.
Many organizations have been unable to get on the web, because they lack any
staff or members who have the skills needed to create web pages. The HCCN board
is convinced that people exist in our community who have those skills and who
would be willing to contribute them to organizations. The HCCN board created the
Huntington County Community Network to put those volunteers in touch with the
organizations who need them.
The web volunteers who list themselves on these pages are independent of HCCN.
They will become volunteers of the organization that needs the web help.
Organizations should expect to provide web volunteers with the same benefits
they provide any other volunteers. HCCN is not in a position to warranty in any
way the work done by volunteers found through the Huntington County Web
Volunteer Clearinghouse.
