Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana has provided a low interest loan as well as grant monies for the project. Landmarks' unflagging support for the project is one of the main reasons for Horace Mann's success.
Mansur Real Estate Services has served as developer on the project, and they are also providing construction management. Their efforts were instrumental in Horace Mann's successful application for tax credit financing.
The Architectural Group out of Dayton, Ohio took an existing building, designed originally to be a school, and turned it into 44 comfortable apartments. Will Kaly and Allan Scherr of TAG have worked closely with the development team on modifications, code compliance and a variety of other issues.
Indiana Housing Finance Authority granted low income tax credits to finance the project.
Bank One and Bank One Community Development Corporation provided permanent and construction loan financing for the project.
First Federal Savings Bank serves as the financial institution for Horace Mann Apartments Limited Partnership.
The Arcand Company secured tax credit investors for the project.
